Bollinger

Special Cuvee

~Champagne

 Wine Spectator: 93 Points!

"Lovely aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry and currant fruit, graphite, toast and candied Meyer lemon zest are set in this racy Champagne, with a refined, finely detailed mousse. The mouthwatering finish is long and spicy."

2012 Bollinger

Grande Annee

~Champange

"At Bollinger, only very high quality harvests become a vintage: in 2012, the remarkable maturity of the grapes combined with a phenomenal acidity have produced a wine of infinite depth and allowed an exceptional vintage to be created. The delicate color and golden hues are a sign of the wine’s maturity and Bollinger’s wine-making methods. A wonderful aromatic depth. The wine’s fruity, spicy and floral notes intertwine to reveal a highly complex nose; wild peach, plum and orange peel precede saffron and tonka bean, complemented by a fresh, mineral aspect. Dense and harmonious in the mouth. A creamy effervescence and fresh structure, with a gentle saline finish."

2015 E. Guigal

Gigondas

~ Rhone Valley

 Wine Enthusaist: 92 Points!

 Wine Advocate: 91 Points!

"The 2015 Gigondas is remarkable for its elegance. Sourced largely from higher-altitude vineyards, it's evolved in a red-fruited direction, offering cranberry and cherry notes accented by hints of clove and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, with a creamy mid-palate and silky tannins on the finish, it drinks well now and should continue to do so for at least another 6-7 years."

2016 Saintes Pierre De Nalys

Chateauneuf Du Papes

~Rhone Valley

 Wine Enthusiast: 93 Points!

 Robert Parker: 92 Points!

 James Suckling: 92 Points!

"Pristine black-cherry and plum flavors are shaded by savory accents of nut, smoke and leather in this Grenache-dominant blend of six regional grapes. It's silken and expansive in mouthfeel but anchored by firm, fine tannins. Lovely already it's likely to gain savory complexities through 2030."

2016 Chateau de Nalys

Chateauneuf du Papes

Grand Vin

~ Rhone Valley

 Wine Advocate: 95 Points!

 James Suckling: 93 Points!

 Wine Spectator: 93 Points!

"Destined to become Nalys's new flagship (unless the white version steals the show), the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Grand Vin is a blend of 59% Grenache, 32% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 3% Counoise and 1% Vaccarèse. It's full-bodied and velvety, offering hints of vanilla and sandalwood, but there also are layers of dark cherry fruit. Subtle notes of cinnamon, clove and allspice add interest to the long, silky finish. It's an auspicious debut for the Guigal team."

2014 E. Guigal

Chateau d'Ampuis

~ Cote Rotie, Rhone Valley

 Wine Spectator: 95 Points!

"A very intense and dark-fruited syrah that has bacon fat, blackberry, mocha and a whole swathe of baking spices on offer. The palate is super-succulent, long and juicy with fine but dense, chalky tannins. Super-long, dark-plum and mocha finish. The tautness here is impressive! Long life ahead. Try in 2022."

Chateau D'Ampuis

~Cote Rotie, Rhone Valley

 Wine Advocate: 97 Points!

 Wine Spectator: 97 Points!

 Vinous Media: 95 Points!

"A gorgeous core of steeped raspberry, boysenberry and fig fruit gives this a showy side. A lush structure flows underneath, while long echoes of warm ganache, black tea and espresso linger. The fruit keeps this in the suave and alluring camp overall, though there’s plenty of grip for cellaring."

Savennieres

~Loire Valley

 Wine Spectator: 93 Points!

"Piercing and pure, with pear, green apple and green almond notes carried by a sleek, minerally edge. Shows juiciness along the edges and flashes of honeysuckle and bitter almond in the background. Drink now through 2033."

2015 Domaine des Baumard

Savennieres Clos du Papillon

~Loire Valley

 Wine Spectator: 95 Points!

"This wine is distinguished from the other Savennières of the domaine by its character. Fresh and full of minerality while staying powerful, it exudes all the aromatic richness and elegance of Chenin Blanc grown on a great terroir. Much like a butterfly, the wine seems to flutter and fly!"
