O'Hara's Wine And Liquors

Father's Day Bourbon and Scotch Sale!

Good through June 18th, 2017, while supplies last!

Maker's Mark 46

Regular Price: $35.99

Sale Price: $29.99

Maker's 46 is essentially the standard expression with added spice. This was not intended to compete with the core expression, instead it's a cousin to it, something different for those that like spicy bourbon. They add this extra dimension by inserting seared French oak staves into the barrels (with the stave profile "number 46" - thus the name). It's utterly stunning.

Basil Haydens

Regular Price: $34.99

Sale Price: $29.99

Basil Hayden's is unique in that it utilizes twice as much rye in it as the other bourbons in the Collection. This abundance of rye gives it a slightly peppery taste and aroma, perfect for sipping on the rocks. Aged eight years at a relatively mild 80 proof, Basil Hayden's has a broad appeal and is delicious in mixed cocktails.

I. W. Harper

Regular Price: $34.99

Sale Price: $24.99

Beginning with a subtle nose, I.W. HARPER Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey leaves traces of caramel and vanilla on entry before melting into velvety bursts of wood and spice. The finish is sweet and pleasant with subtle fruit notes.

Russels Reserve

10 Year

Regular Price: $34.99

Sale Price: $29.99

Aroma of cinnamon raisin bread, sweet vanilla and honey. Notes of orange, cloves and oak, which are complemented by subtle undertones of maple and caramel. Finish is slightly warming, with a well-balanced complexity.

Russells Reserve

Single Barrel

Regular Price: $49.99

Sale Price: $39.99

Toffee, oranges, Werther’s Originals. Berries. A bunch of spices. Some nail polish remover. Dark roasted flavors. Viscous, soft and creamy. Woody tannins coming towards the finish. Grainy and roasted corn.

JR Revelry

Regular Price: $29.99

Sale Price: $23.99

The flavors follow the nose closely. This is a young, caramel forward bourbon with a woody punch. Baking spices, cloves, and subtle red fruits last through a dry finish.

Regular Price: $24.99

Sale Price: $19.99

Lots of barley and cereal notes, oodles of rich bourbon, smoke and peat still present. Charming interplay through the caramel sweetness and the vanilla spiced oak.

Laphroaig 10yr

Regular price: $49.99

Sale Price: $39.99

Those enjoying the 10 Year Old will first notice the bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the foundation of all Laphroaig expressions and comes with a long finish.

Laphroaig Triple Wood

Regular Price: $69.99

Sale Price: $49.99

Formerly a travel retail exclusive, the popularity of the Triple Wood has led to it being launched into the general market. The whisky starts off maturing in regular bourbon casks, before being moved to Laphroaig's bespoke quarter casks for a time. The whisky is then finished in oloroso sherry casks to gently sand off any remaining sharp edges.

Glenlivet 12yr

Regular Price: $49.99

Sale Price: $39.99

The nose is sharp with dry grass and green apples with notes of honey and vanilla, making it sweet, but with an edge. The ex-bourbon barrels show up strongly here, as they do in so much of what The Glenlivet does, putting more vanilla down on the flavor, and pulling the sweetness over so that one foot is in the malty, honey range and another is in the corn syrup, cereal-sweet zone.

Glenlivet 18yr

Regular Price: $119.99

Sale Price: $99.99

Caramel, malt, honey, orchard fruit and an intense, almost cloying, sweetness dominated the initial flavor. After a while the orchard fruit started to define itself more as a peach like flavor and some bits of oak and baking spices began to appear. In the last dram of the bottle the orchard fruit had died off a bit, but the honey, malt and oak had become much more dominant and mixed with some arriving notes of cinnamon.

Glenmorangie 10yr

Regular Price: $44.99

Sale Price: $34.99

The 'original' sets a high standard for Highland whisky, and has gone from strength to strength since its slightly controversial packaging redesign a few years ago. Medium-bodied and gently warming, with pleasant spicy notes.

Cragganmore 12yr

Regular Price: $59.99

Sale Price: $49.99

Ballindalloch, on the banks of the legendary salmon river, is for many the home of the definitive Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Hugely complex, rich with layers of flavour and a whiff of smoke in the finish.

Dalwhinnie 15yr

Regular Price: $74.99

Sale Price: $55.99

A great malt which Jim Murray awarded 95 points in his Whisky Bible, this is excellent value for money. The flavours are simple, but flawless, a clean, crisp 15 year old from the Dalwhinnie distillery, also part of Diageo's Classic Malts range.

Oban 14yr

Regular Price: $74.99

Sale Price: $59.99

The nose is rich and smokey. The medicinal notes are quite evident with notes of the sea; seaweed, tarry ropes. There are notes of cut hay and wood smoke rising with a gentle estery sweetness. The palate is thick and full. Notes of citrus with smooth sweetness. The smoke wafts with notes of seaweed. The oak is quite rich with grist and cereal and malt. The finish is of good length with fruit and dry oak.

Talisker 10yr

Regular Price: $69.99

Sale Price: $55.99

Hard and rocky, evoking sea cliffs and tumbling waterfalls. Rock candy. There is a shadow of heather in the middle notes, and a solid background of peat (but not smoke). Very earthy and mineral. The body is firm, a touch oily, and a little creamy, but the mineral flavors contrast starkly. Intricate, complex, evolving.

Johnnie Walker

Blue Label

Regular Price: $224.99

Sale Price: $199.99

Johnnie Walker's most prestigious whisky. Probably THE most famous super-premium blend, made up of the finest old-aged malt and grain whiskies. The Cristal of the blended whisky world. Blue Label’s bold, multi-layered palate and silky delivery ensure that it sits unchallenged at the top of the Johnnie Walker pile.

Glenkinchie 12yr

Regular Price: $69.99

Sale Price: $49.99

The nose is quite light, yet fragrant. Notes of fresh cereal and grist, some barley sweetness and a nutty note. Acacia honey creeps in with gentle warmth. The palate is very fruity with notes of Madeira and sweet stewed fruits. A hint of calvados and tannic oak lining the mouth. There is a freshness and roundness to this dram. The finish is of medium length with notes of cereal and a fresh greenness.

Good til 12/31/2016 or while supplies last.
