Wine is produced in every state, with more than 60 designated wine regions totalling approximately 160,000 hectares; however Australia's wine regions are mainly in the southern, cooler parts of the country, with vineyards located in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland. The wine regions in each of these states produce different wine varieties and styles that take advantage of the particular Terroir such as: climatic differences, topography and soil types. With the major varieties being predominantly Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Semillon, Pinot noir, Riesling, and Sauvignon blanc. Wines are often labelled with the name of their grape variety, which must constitute at least 85 percent of the wine.

"Deep crimson in color with generous aromas of boisenberry, blood  plums, tar, coffee and vanilla. A full bodied wine with a soft round flourish of fruit. The aromas are mirrored by the flavors on the palate that also have dark chocolate undertones. The tannins are supple, smooth and generous, just like the characters of the region"

"Fresh and lively, this offers precise flavors and fine-grained tannins, with lingering raspberry, dark plum and floral notes. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Grenache, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo."

2013 Torbreck



Although not typically lemony, this wine exhibits more complex aromas of smoked almonds and honeysuckle as well as buttery textures from the natural malolactic fermentation. The palate displays a spicy mineral flintiness with exotic fruit flavours.

Quite a crisp, reasonably full-flavoured and “green” style of Sauvignon Blanc with cut grass, gooseberry, green capsicum and chalky mineral flavours. Assertive wine that ‘s pleasingly dry and has a lengthy finish
